The 730 is submerged in a reservoir for a hydroponic set up. It’s completely silent. It’ll suck down to the 1/2in as advertised because I have a ball valve connected to drain my system and it pushed 20gallons out very quickly. Good to know for emptying.Strength is great and I provided photos to show give an idea of the distance it’s pushing water. About two feet up to a pvc two way fitting and then out around 6 feet on both connections. It’s a closed system and the pvc is threaded and cemented where need be and if this pump lasts 24/7 for a year or more I’m certainly buying again.Hardware stores have the 3/4in to 1/2in fitting that screws right into the pump, then you can run the 1/2in pvc all over. I didn’t use the fittings that came with the pump because it’s assumed you’re using tubing for all this and for that they’d work great. The options provided were strong plastic fittings, I just didn’t need them for my application. I hope the photos provided will give you confidence that there will not be a loss when pumping at least the distances I’m using them for.
