Water Master Solids Pumps Savio Water Master Solid Handling Pumps are our top-of-the-line model for professional use. These pumps can handle suspended debris and spherical solids up to 1.25", and 1.5" in diameter for the 5000 and 6500. The oil-less design makes them safe for use in environments with fish, plants, and other aquatic life. Perfect for continuous duty use in Skimmerfilters and pond filtration systems. Prior to leaving the factory, every single pump is subjected to testing to ensure reliable operation. The end product: a reliable design that provides an unbeatable combination of quality and low maintenance. Pumps are CSA-approved for use in the USA and Canada. Designed to easily pass solids up to 1 inch removing them from your pond. They will be deposited into your F100 Livingponds filter and then you can back wash them out! This makes pond maintenance a breeze. The Water Master solids pump is a direct drive pump with dual mechanical SIC seals and more pressure than the asynchronous pumps delivering more water for bigger, taller waterfalls! Oil-free design makes the Water Master Solids Pump safe for aquatic life. Water Master Solids Pumps Models Choosing the Right Pump for My Water Feature Pond type, head height, and friction loss all factor into the minimum pump size requirements. Pond Type: Water Garden, Few Small Goldfish: Circulate total pond water volume every 2 hours. Example: 2,000 GPH pump for 3000-gallon pond with 2" waterfall. Fish Pond, Several Small Fish: Circulate total pond water volume every 1 hour. Example: 3,800 GPH pump for 3000-gallon pond with 2" waterfall. Koi Pond, Several Large Fish: Circulate total pond water volume every 3/4 of an hour. Example: 5,500 GPH pump for 3000-gallon pond with 2" waterfall. Head Height: To calculate the head height, take the vertical height of your waterfall; the distance between where your pump is (typically in the skimmer) and where your waterfall is, and adding the static head pressure (pipe and fittings) 1' for every 10" of tubing and 1' for every elbow or "T" fitting. Example: 3' (vertical height) + 2.5 (25' of tubing) + 2' (for 2 elbows) = 7.5' of Dynamic Head Pressure Note: Head height is important to take into consideration due to the laws of fluid dynamics. Please refer to the flow chart above to help choose the correct pump. Hose Sizing Chart Choosing the Right Size Hose for My Water Feature When Sizing your Freeze Flex Pond Hose, make sure you choose a pipe that will not restrict the flow of your pump! If your hose is 1.5" and you buy a 6,000 GPH pump, your pipe will only allow 4,400 GPH to pass through it. You will be wasting money on electricity and paying for a stronger pump that will not give you the desired result. You will need to run an additional pipe or change your hose to get the desired flow rate! Many people expect to achieve greater flow by simply buying a larger pump. They do not realize that flow will not increase unless the tubing can also support this increase inflow. Please do not let this happen to you. Using the chart above, you will be able to easily determine the best size tubing for your pump size. Do not use pumps on an extension cord. They must be run on a dedicated 15 Amp GFI circuit. It’s a good pump the only issue is doesn’t last that long usually broke in 2 seasons.Very sturdy. Lot's of power. Used in my pond to move water up to filter and to waterfall. I learned the hard way that it needs to be in an enclosed cage, otherwise it will suck up the fish.Pump seems ok. The pump looked used, not new, and packaging was used-looking and very damaged. But, so far, the pump is operating properly. This is my 4th Savio pump for my Savio pond skimmer in 5 years. The previous 3 pumps died in 2 years, 1 year and 2 years respectively. The 2nd one failed less than 2 years so I got a free warranty replacement. All 3 times, the pump failed the same way - they developed shorts and keep tripping the circuit breaker. The last pump caused the worst damage, it electrocuted all my 30+ fish. Note the 'short' has 10 ohm in resistance so it won't trip the breaker right away (more like 20-30 min) which is long enough to kill the fish.Google research tells me that pump short is likely caused by overheating which melts the internal coil. The reason of overheating is that it runs without water in the skimmer tank. This situation did happen to me when the filter pads are really dirty and block the water from flowing into the pump tank. However, the Savio user manual mentioned there is a built-in thermo sensor which stop the pump when overheating. I wonder if the thermo sensor has design error. Now I'm on my 4th Savio pump, and I have to watch water level of the pump constantly. I can't really change a different brand because it's hard to find the right size pump to fit into the narrow Savio skimmer.I am so glad to be able to get a replacement for my original water garden pump. The water flow is perfect for my waterfall and it was easy to install. The only thing I don't like is the audible hum that I don't think the other pump had but I am super sensitive to noises.I can’t necessarily speak for the quality yet. My first one quit working in a couple of months. But the customer service to get a replacement was fantastic. I have every reason to believe the first issue was a fluke and my fish are enjoying they new pump in this hot weather.I had a pump like this for my koi pond. It worked great for a long time. When the pump went, I shopped locally and spent a LOT of money on a pump that was supposed to be stronger... it wasn't. I fought the greenest and stringiest algae for four years. I started researching pumps and found this one. Reviews were mixed with warranties. I looked at the Savio website and found the list of sellers that they did NOT recommend and would not honor the warrantee with. Pondliner was not on that list. I contacted them with a few questions and found they guaranteed the pump for 2 years, as well as service them. I ordered the pump and another item. I found that the other item would not work and contacted Pondliner again who promptly fixed my problem. This pump is AWESOME! I have a 1500 gallon koi pond, and the water is finally moving like it used to! I love the pump, and I love the customer service provided. I will definitely look for Pondliner for all my future koi pond needs. It was so refreshing to get quick helpful customer service. This company and their products are really great!Installed the submersible pump in my pond just a few weeks ago. Working great so far. Price is right and delivery was just a few days. The only reason I give it 4 star, only had it installed for a few weeks.
