This pump can suck down a 5 gallon bucket pretty quickly, and has no trouble reaching 160 PSI on its output.For the self priming ability, I must not use the right size tubing (3/8 OD) for the 'self priming' abilities. I also admit I may not fully understand the concept of 'self priming'. All of the pumps I have purchased if there is a big enough bubble in the line, once that pocket of air reaches the diaphragm it will idle on it until it is forced out by other means. On this point, this pump was no worse or better than any others without manual priming assistance when there is a pocket of air in the line.For its durability, I have had this pump for a while now and have really pushed it hard. I have accidentally let it run dry for unknown amounts of time (Potentially hours) and the outside shell of the pump was sizzling hot. I was worried the pump would not work after that but it has not noticeably lost any power since when I first ran the pump.For its power, this pump has no trouble pumping up a pre-pressurized accumulator tank or boiler expansion tank (Room temperature inlet) up to its maximum working pressure ratings of 150 PSI. This was a killer upgrade for my misting system.For the pressure switch, it is decent enough for my purpose it just took a while to get it dialed in. My experience with this pressure switch that is built into the pump is probably unique. Unfortunately most of my fittings, hoses, and pipes between my reservoir, pump, tank, and misting nozzels have been 'what is laying around' and 'what I could find' and 'what fits together' at home and the local hardware stores. Coupled together with different parts at different heights, the fluid dynamics of my system don't currently like to agree at the pressure switch vs the pressure at the tank.Overall I rate this pump a 5 star product based on my experience with other pumps too.
