This product is impressive. It gives a good size fountain, when the sun is out, and the battery power last quite long in the evening or on cloudy days. It is easy to set up and works in a few minutes out of the box. I mounted the solar panel on a long stake to give it height.I found out that the fountain will stop after about 4 hours at night but in the morning I could turn the battery power on again and the fountain would work for a few more hours until the sun rises again. It is summer now so not sure how it would do during the winter and fall seasons.I gave it four stars instead of five because you cannot control the height of the fountain when in Solar mode. This may become problematic if your pond is too small to contain the fountain within the pond. If the fountain shoots water outside of the pond you will run out of water quickly. It would also been perfect if it would go to battery power automatically when there is not enough sunlight. I had to really work at finding a way to secure the pump in the pond because the suction cups were not strong enough to keep it in place.That said, I really like this water pump and would get another if I needed one. My neighbors were very impressed to see the fountain and that it runs on solar power. At night the LED lights really adds to the ambience of the pond. Don't forget to check the water height of your pond periodically because of evaporation due to the spraying. My fish and water plants are loving their new fountain.
